I chose my degree in Rangeland Ecology and Watershed Management because
it seemed to have to the most interesting course material and I was very tired
of my engineering classes. I like the outdoors so that also was a deciding
factor in my degree choice. At first I was not convinced that this was for me, but
after a few semesters it started to grow on me. The thought of being in control of
how the public land, that I use, gets to be managed. I enjoy this major so it helps in
keeping focused, but I can't wait until I graduate.
I would like to get a job in Alaska when I graduate. There is only one earth and I would like to be the one who manages the last remaining public lands for the next 60 or so years. If I don't end up in Alaska, then that would be ok, as long and I am in Wyoming. I think it would be awesome to get a job where I have to deal with minimal amounts of people. Ultimately my career goal is to do something good that will be remembered.
