For my dissertation research, I am examining the rates and controls of

the contribution of nitrogen fixation to the nitrogen budget in WY streams.

Dissertation Research Questions:

· How do chemical and physical variables associated with

land-use influence N fixation rates?

· How much can N fixation contribute to N cycling in

low N streams?

· What are the effects of nutrient additions on the

development and fixation rates of the N-fixing assemblage?
